My profile
My profile is your own account page. It is not in the left menu: open it from the avatar
menu in the top-right corner. The screen needs the user_read_self permission and has three
tabs, each with its own URL (/my-profile/:tab; /my-profile opens general).
General (/my-profile/general)
Section titled “General (/my-profile/general)”- First name and Last name.
- Extra fields defined in User fields.
- Avatar: upload an image (
POST /api/profile/upload-avatar), pick one from the file library (folderavatars/{your id}) or delete it.
Submit saves the form with PUT /api/profile/me. Your email and roles cannot be changed
here; another administrator changes them on Users.
Change password (/my-profile/change_password)
Section titled “Change password (/my-profile/change_password)”Enter your current password, the new password and its confirmation. The API
(PUT /api/profile/password) checks that the current password matches and that the new one
has at least 6 characters, and dispatches the PasswordChanged event (which has an email
template; see Templates).
If you have forgotten your password, sign out and use Forgot password on the sign-in screen (The admin panel).
User settings (/my-profile/user_settings)
Section titled “User settings (/my-profile/user_settings)”A key–value table of settings stored on your account (/api/admin/users/{id}/settings).
Frontends use these to remember per-user preferences. The toolbar has two actions:
- New adds or changes the given keys and keeps the others (
PATCH). - Overwrite replaces all your settings with the keys you enter (
PUT).
The same settings exist for every user, but the panel lets you edit only your own; the corresponding tab on other users’ edit screens is disabled in the code.
