Image topics

An image topic (Image) shows one uploaded image.

1. In the program, add a topic and choose Image.
2. Click Click to upload and choose an image file. The server accepts the usual image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP) and SVG.
3. The upload saves the topic and shows a preview.
4. Open Description → Open editor and write a Summary that describes the image, then save.

Tip

In the reference front the topic Summary is the image’s alternative text and its caption. Without a summary the topic title is used as the alternative text, which rarely describes the picture. Write a summary for every image so screen-reader users get the same information.

SVG files are stored so that opening their address downloads them instead of running scripts inside them; they still display normally as images.

Completion

An image topic completes when the learner reaches the end of the page, or with Mark as complete.
